History of Medicine
Medicinal botanicals, medical circulations, irregular practitioners, colonial medicine in the 19th- and 20th-century United States
I received my BA in Liberal Arts in 2007 from St. John’s College in Santa Fe, NM.  I study botanical medicine in the 19th- and 20th-century United States with a focus on irregular practitioners, colonial medicine, and the circulations of plants and practices between Indigenous and settler communities.  My broader interests include traditions of heterodox medicine in the United States and the relationship of medicine to place.  In my leisure time I enjoy camping, narrative nonfiction, and sea vegetables.
