Admission Requirements

Applicants to the Program in the History of Science, Technology, and Medicine Applicants must apply online to the Graduate School.

Any student with a bachelor's degree or a comparable foreign degree from a recognized college or university is eligible to apply for admission. Applicants with the necessary background and a preferred performance level of G.P.A. 3.0 or above may be admitted for graduate work with the recommendation of the program's graduate faculty and approval of the Dean of the Graduate School.  International applicants (and domestic applicants whose native language is not English) are required to provide proof of English language proficiency as a condition of admission.  We require applicants to provide three letters of recommendation. It is strongly recommended that applicants submit their Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores. Typically students designate a preference for the history of science and technology or history of medicine tracks.

The application deadline each year is December 1. The Timetable link indicates additional deadlines for the application and admission process, and the Procedures link provides additonal information on completing the online application.
